AFN Hosts webinar on The Role of Philanthropy in Navigating Civic ENgagement

On Thursday, June 27th, AFN hosted a webinar in partnership with Nonprofit Vote to uplift the importance, possibility, and impact of philanthropy’s role in civic engagement and the democratic process. Especially poignant during a polarized election year, we were joined by a dozen members and allies who listened in as we discussed the Philanthropy for Civic Engagement Toolkit for foundations, developed by Nonprofit Vote and in partnership with Council on Foundations, United Philanthropy Forum, and Independent Sector. Additionally, we heard from panelists with The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky and Education Foundation of America, representative of a community foundation and private foundation, respectively, and whose leaders are doing civic engagement work in different ways, across diverse funding priorities.

Check out a recoding of the webinar, as well as helpful links that were discussed on the call, below.
